Overview
Seeing Machines exists to get people home safely by developing and commercialising driver monitoring system technology and products applying eye and face tracking technologies. Data collection captures video, audio and subject metadata (i.e., eye features, age, height, ethnicity etc) to support the development and improvement of our technologies and products. We use real human subjects to train our algorithms and develop the most precise machine-learned solution.
In-vehicle detection study:
This data collection requires a group with at least 2 adults and 1 child, with a maximum of 4 individuals in total. This can include configurations such as 1 child with 2-3 adults, or 2 children with 2 adults. Adults can be a combination of parents and other relatives or friends but must include at least one legal guardian for each child in the group.
Each participant will occupy one seat of a test vehicle equipped with cameras and data capture devices and perform various tasks as instructed by the data collector. Throughout the data collection, you (and any other adult participants) will take turns driving the vehicle and be asked to change your appearance and position multiple times.
The data collector will be in the test vehicle during the entirety of the data collection session to help instruct you and the other participants.
